Airbnb has announced that it’s expanded its search feature to assist travelers find accommodations based on new categories. The web site redesign allows customers to search for more specific features tailored for their unique interests.
The company calls the feature Airbnb Categories. It states that Categories will allow users to locate one-of-a-kind locations where they might not have access to considered to look for previously.
Airbnb Categories separate homes into groups based on particular traits. The Categories feature permits people to search among 4 million unusual homes and apartments.
The homes were already listed on the website, but they weren’t easy to find one of the larger crowd of Six million listings.
There are 56 categories, each including a hand-picked collection of accommodations. The listings are separated according to location, style, or proximity to attractions.

Many travelers are particularly thinking about staying in gorgeous homes, so Airbnb curated the “Design” category to contain thousands of places with striking architecture and interior planning.

One amusing category is known as “OMG.” It has homes that are so unusual that Airbnb couldn’t insert them in every other grouping.
The category is marked by having an illustration of a UFO to emphasise the delightfully strange accommodations. One home in the uk may have inspired Airbnb’s web-site designers; it looks like a literal spaceship.
Categories will even help travelers who understand what region they want to visit but haven’t yet figured out more specific plans. Brian Chesky, Airbnb’s CEO, said he wishes to highlight places users wouldn’t have previously discovered.
